Supporting Our Community, Supporting You
As an Oklahoma owned and operated company, our commitment to the community runs deeper than merely showing professional civility; it’s personal. We believe in our communities and the success and growth of our great state as a whole. That is why we give back to our communities voluntarily. We feel community service teaches our employees skills that they will never learn solely on the job, but empowers them to be proud of the company they work for and the communities that they live in and support daily. We encourage you to read more about Cashland’s involvement below, and invite you to join us in our efforts.
Your Change Matters
The “Your Change Matters” campaign is Cashland’s annual corporate giving program that raises money each year for a local, worthy organization. This program wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of our customers and their donations throughout the year. The recipient for 2016 will be Disabled American Veterans Oklahoma Chapter.
Here are the previous organizations that have benefitted from “Your Change Matters” thanks to our wonderful customers and their kindness!
- 2015: Ronald McDonald House Charities of Oklahoma City was given $8,000.00
- 2014: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma was given $10,000.00
- 2013: CASA of Oklahoma County was given $8,000.00
- 2012: The Oklahoma Red Cross was given $5,515.43
- 2011: The Salvation Army was given $ 4,072.15
OKC Memorial Marathon
Each year the Cashland team is also a proud sponsor of a relay-water stop with the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon. This offers our employees an opportunity to come support a tremendous event in Oklahoma City to honor the 168 lives that we will never forget.
Each year at Christmas, the Cashland corporate office adopts a family. This originated in 2010, when all our employees chose to adopt a family in lieu of the annual gift exchange at our corporate office. We want to give back to the community that supports our business throughout the year, in a way that really touches a family personally.
Each store location participates in various philanthropy efforts throughout the year in their respective communities. Some of these efforts include providing backpacks filled with school supplies, food drives, and walking for the March of Dimes, among others.
